Halloween will never be eclipsed as the primary holiday for NHL player cos-play — thank you, Raffi Torres — but Christmas has its blissful moments too. Like the San Jose Sharks donning holiday sweaters for a music video, or that Santa rumble at the New York Islanders game.
Caught up in the holiday spirit? The Carolina Hurricanes.
That's the 2-month-old son of Anthony Stewart sitting on the lap of Brandon Sutter, a.k.a. Santa, who is ably assisted by one Jeff Skinner, Calder Trophy winning sensation and former figure skater.
Sutter looks like he's holding up a bank on Dec. 24.
Skinner? We now have our suspicions that he (a) already owned this outfit and (b) may actually be an elf.
If nothing else, we'd like to see these guys operating a 'Christmas Story'-like Santa station, with Skinner aggressively dragging kids up the stairs and Sutter booting them down a slide where Cam Ward is there to catch them — and, based on this year's stats, watch them pass right through his five-hole.
