No. 1 Star: Dwayne Roloson, Tampa Bay Lightning

Roloson stopped 31 Boston shots as the Lightning took a 1-0 series lead after a 5-2 victory in Game 1. The win was Tampa's eighth straight after their Game 4 loss to Pittsburgh. Eight times now Roloson has had to make 30 or more saves in a game and allowed two or less goals in a game.

No. 2 Star: Brett Clark, Tampa Bay Lightning

Clark had a beauty of a goal with an end-to-end rush 19 seconds after Sean Bergenheim opened the scoring for Tampa:

No. 3 Star: Tyler Seguin, Boston Bruins

The Bruins rookie played in his first playoff game and finished with a goal and an assist while recording just 9:38 of ice time. His goal in the first period put Boston back in the game and make Tampa defenseman Mike Lundin look silly:

Honorable mention: A pre-game moment of silence was held to honor the memory of New York Rangers forward Derek Boogaard who passed away on Friday at age 28 ... Victor Hedman led all players with four blocked shots ... Bergenheim scored his eighth goal of the playoffs. He had 14 during the regular season ... Playing in his first game since Game 1 against Washington, Simon Gagne scored an empty-netter for the Lightning.

Did you know? Tampa scored two goals 19 seconds apart and three in a 1:25 span, both franchise records. (AP)

Dishonorable mention: David Krejci had a rough night in the faceoff circle going 3-for-15 ... Boston was credited with 10 giveaways ... The Bruins failed on all four of their power play attempts, dropping them to 2-for-41 in the playoffs.

Conn Smythe Watch: 1. Ryan Kesler, Vancouver Canucks; 2. Martin St. Louis, Tampa Bay Lightning; 3. Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins; 4. Joe Thornton, San Jose Sharks; 5. Sean Bergenheim, Tampa Bay Lightning; 6. Dwayne Roloson, Tampa Bay Lightning; 7. Ryane Clowe, San Jose Sharks; 8. Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins; 9. Devin Setoguchi, San Jose Sharks; 10. Roberto Luongo, Vancouver Canucks.
