What we know about the eventual suspension given to Raffi Torres for his hit on Marian Hossa of the Chicago Blackhawks: That he won't play in Thursday's Game 4, as he's suspended indefinitely; and that his fate will be decide at an in-person hearing with the NHL on Friday, which typically means a minimum of five games.
Beyond that, the Phoenix Coyotes forward's suspension is anyone's guess. Don Cherry made his on CBC's Coach's Corner on Wednesday: 10 games.
Said Cherry:
"I think he'll get 10 games. I really believe he'll get 10 games. This, to me, is a cheap shot of all … one of them … I've seen [worse]. But [Hossa] had a chance. Now, you're gonna say 'Scott Stevens', but this guy never had a chance. It wasn't his fault. He was turnin'. The puck was already gone. You can't do that stuff."
