No. 1 Star: Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals
Ovechkin's blast on a 6-on-4 power play late in the game set up Jason Arnott's game-tying goal (his 400th, as you can see above) against the Buffalo Sabres. Then, in overtime, Ovechkin broke the tie and danced to victory, as his 3-point night ignited the Caps to a 5-4 win over the Buffalo Sabres. The Caps moved to the top of the East with the win. No. 2 Star: Devin Setoguchi, San Jose Sharks
The Sharks winger scored the game-winning power-play goal with 5:21 left in the game, as San Jose defeated the Anaheim Ducks, 4-2. Setoguchi had a three-point night, assisting on Patrick Marleau's two goals as well. Bobby Ryan and Lubomir Visnovsky scored first-period goals for the Ducks, who saw Ray Emery lose for the first time in seven games.
No. 3 Star: Devan Dubnyk, Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers keeper made 40 saves as Edmonton upset the Vancouver Canucks, 4-1, to snap an 11-game losing streak. Jordan Eberle, Kurtis Foster and Linus Omark had a goal and an assist each.
Honorable mention: The Carolina Hurricanes crawled to within 2 points of the No. 8 seed with a 4-2 victory at the New York Islanders. Carolina scored three goals in the third. … Dan Cleary scored 2:58 into overtime as the Detroit Red Wings held off the Nashville Predators, 4-3.
