It's been a while since a hockey player celebrated a goal by Tebowing. Florida Panthers draft pick Rocco Grimaldi celebrated his first NCAA goal with North Dakota by doing so back in November. Same for former Los Angeles Kings defenseman Jack Johnson in January, who did so at the request of some friends who were in town for the game.

Now that Tim Tebow has been back in the news cycle thanks to his trade to the New York Jets last week, it's time to bring back the pop culture phenomenon. Ottawa Senators prospect Mika Zibanejad did his part today during Djurgardens' 4-2 win over Orebro in the Elitserien relegation playoffs. Zibanejad scored a pair of goals in the win and after his first decided to pull the Tebow in celebration.

Djurgarden is in a fight to avoid relegation as the top four teams from the second division and the bottom two clubs from the Elitserien play a set of home-and-home games with the top two clubs playing first division hockey next season.

Zibanejad, who is Christian like Tebow, told reporters that the celebration was inspired by the NFL quarterback and others.
