Sunday’s Three Stars: Booth powers Canucks; Avs end Wings’ streakNo. 1 Star: David Booth, Vancouver Canucks

The Canuck went down 1-0 late in the first period to the Calgary Flames, but answered back with five straight goals in a 5-1 victory. Booth had points on Vancouver's first three tallies (goal, two assists) as the Canucks won for the sixth time in seven games. Chris Higgins also recorded three points and Roberto Luongo made 21 saves for his first win since Nov. 13.

No. 2 Star: Ryan O'Reilly, Colorado Avalanche

O'Reilly continued his productive week with a pair of goals as the Avs downed the Detroit Red Wings 4-2 for their third win in a row. Semyon Varlamov stopped 27 shots and Gabriel Landeskog added two assists. In his last five games, O'Reilly has posted four goals and nine points.

No. 3 Star: Matt Cullen, Minnesota Wild

After the Wild fell behind to the Anaheim Ducks 2-0 midway through the first period, Cullen helped Minnesota fight back by assisting on three unanswered goals en route to a 5-3 win. The victory was Minnesota's fourth straight and helped secure them to their best start in franchise history at 17-7-3, good for first overall in the NHL. The trio of helpers was Cullen's second 3-point night of the season.

Honorable mention: Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Casey Wellman and Cal Clutterbuck each posted 2-point nights for the Wild ... Pavel Datsyuk had one assist for Detroit to give him 14 points in his last nine games ... Vancouver won 39 of their 55 faceoffs.

Did you know? This was the first time in their 17 wins this season that the Wild allowed more than two goals. (AP)

Dishonorable mention: The Ducks fell to 0-1-1 under Bruce Boudreau and have blown 3-0 and 2-0 leads in both ... It was Anaheim's seventh loss in their last eight games ... The loss snapped Detroit's 7-game win streak ... Olli Jokinen was 5-for-17 in the dot ... Paul Stastny left the game in the third period with a lower-body injury and did not return for the Avalanche ... Flames goaltender Henrik Karlsson collided with Jannik Hansen and left the game early in the third period. Later, Booth ran into Miikka Kiprusoff and Calgary had enough:
