Puck Headlines: Miller, Reimer return; RNH best rookie, again

• Best NHL.com pun ever? I'm saying yes. [Reddit Hockey]

• Tough break for the Calgary Flames: Standout defenseman Mark Giordano is out indefinitely with partially torn leg tendons. [Flames]

• Not nearly as tough a break for Calgary: Cory Sarich has requested a trade. [Matchsticks & Gasoline]

• The Tampa Bay Lightning has increased season tickets from 6,000 to 11,000 in the last year. Sure, some of that has to do with the fact that they're winning and have one of the most exciting young players in the league, but it's also because they sell jerseys with freaking microchips in them. [Mashable]

• Reimer, Reimer, gonna be startin' Reimer. After missing the last 18 games with concussion-like symptoms (one of which is a concussion), the Toronto Maple Leafs' goalie has been cleared to play. [The Globe & Mail]

• With 16 points in the month of November, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been named the NHL Rookie of the Month again. He seems pretty good. [NHL]

• Bourne wants the Capitals to return to the offensive-minded system they abandoned. I'm gonna concur. [Backhand Shelf]

•I do believe I am going to enjoy watching Alexei Emelin play:

• After the Canucks made a filing error, Mason Raymond's return to the lineup was pushed back to Sunday. Canuck fans took to Twitter to make jokes. [PITB]

• Wait, did Jimmy Fox just say "peniswhistle"? [Life in Hollywood]

• Jonathan Willis thinks Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is running away with the Calder trophy, but I'm still holding out hope for my preseason pick, Mark Scheifele. [Edmonton Journal]

• A moment of silence for Patrick Kane at center. The Chicago Blackhawks' forward has been returned to the wing. [ESPN]

• Ryan Miller is set to return Friday night for the Buffalo Sabres. He'll dress as the backup, but I would imagine he'll be back in the starting lineup the following night. Hey, remember when we said that about Roberto Luongo? [ESPN]

• Speaking of Vancouver, local women's hockey team the Ice-o-topes has produced a sexy calendar for charity, if you're into, you know, calendars. As for me, no thank you. I'm a hockey purist, and all I see in their various states of undress are the equipment violations.  [Vancouver Sun]

• Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are expecting, but the unborn child has already been forbidden from playing ice hockey. Which means the child definitely will play ice hockey. [Times of India]

• "First-year Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said a couple of weeks ago that he was not going to allow his players to act like 'whiny babies.'" Is the message getting through? [Starsblog]

• "Every year a group of guys leave the city behind and head into the interior of British Columbia for a week of pond hockey. For up to 10 hours a day we play in all conditions and are willing to do anything to Make Hockey Happen." Love this video, if only because it's soundtracked by the Hip. [Youtube]
