After a scoreless opening period against the Los Angeles Kings, Marleau led the charge for the Sharks during a three-goal second period with a goal and two assists during San Jose's 4-2 win. Horton and Tyler Seguin scored 29 second apart in the first period and Lucic and Horton scored in a 49-second span in the third period. The win was Boston's third in a row, during which they've scored 18 goals.

Tuukka Rask made 24 saves for his first win of the season ... Patrice Bergeron's assist extended his points streak to seven games ... Chris Kelly played in his 500th NHL game ... Marc Savard may have psychic powers ... Michael Grabner did a great job keeping the puck in the offensive zone, which resulted in his fourth goal of the season:
Did you know? The Bruins have scored twice in under 30 seconds five times this season. (AP)
Dishonorable mention: Evgeni Nabokov lasted just 14:07 after giving up three goals on 12 shots before being pulled in favor of Al Montoya ... Daniel Paille left the game early in the third period after taking a slapshot to the face. He will see a specialist tonight after taking it in the nose/facial area ... The 23 goals in their first 11 games was the fewest for the Islanders since 1999 (AP) ... The last five times Jonathan Quick has allowed more than 3 goals (inc. playoffs) have come against the Sharks.
