Former Los Angeles Kings goaltender Erik Ersberg has had a tough go of it since joining Salavat Yulayev of the KHL last year. During the Gagarin Cup in April, he allowed a goal from center ice where he just whiffed on catching the puck. Last month, he completely misjudged a shot from outside the blue line.
To complete Ersberg's hat trick of boners, he somehow allowed this defensive zone clearance to find its way past him and give Sibir a 2-1 lead in KHL action on Friday:
That's the easiest goal Georgijus Pujac is ever going to score.
Salavat would end up winning 3-2 in a shootout as Ersberg improved to 2-1-1 on the season. Given the way Ersberg departed LA, Kings fans can't help but keep snickering every few months when he shows up on the blooper reel.
