• The NHL released its 2011-12 national television schedules this afternoon. A nice wrinkle this year for U.S. fans is that whatever game isn't flexed into the Sunday afternoon NBC slot will be broadcast on VERSUS, or what then will be known as NBC Sports Network. Also, NHL Network U.S. will still broadcast Hockey Tonight, Hot Stove and Coach's Corner on Saturday nights when they aren't carrying a CBC broadcast. [NHL]
• Evander Kane will wear No. 9 for the Winnipeg Jets this season after the team consulted with Bobby Hull. [Winnipeg Free Press]
• Despite reports yesterday saying there was a deal, Drew Doughty's agent, Don Meehan, denied any such agreement was in place with the Los Angeles Kings. [LA Times]
