Puck Headlines: Winter Classic update; new NHL 12 Legends

Here are your Puck Headlines: a glorious collection of news and views collected from the greatest blogosphere in sports and the few, the proud, the mainstream hockey media.

• Here's Ilya Bryzgalov's mask for this coming season. We now want to watch "The Hangover" and get a face tattoo. [In Goal Mag]

• Next week, the official announcement of the 2012 Winter Classic will take place at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia and we'll finally see what the Flyers and New York Rangers will be wearing on New Year's Day. [Philly Daily News]

• Ian Walker with a great read today on Rick Rypien talking about how he'd fought depression for the past 10 years: "The time frame coincides with an incident that has left then-general manager and current team president Brent Parker questioning himself. Rypien's girlfriend died in a car accident coming to see him play during his second year." [Vancouver Sun]

• The Toronto Star had a story on Rypien that included a misquote from Vancouver Canucks GM Mike Gillis calling him "crazy". The Star issued an apology on Wednesday, but the Canucks are not happy. [Globe & Mail]

Florida Panthers forward Matt Bradley was on the Team 1200 in Ottawa this morning talking about his former Washington Capitals teammates, including Alexander Semin. We'll have more on this in a bit. [Washington Post]

• Down Goes Brown on some ideas that were rejected for inclusion into the NHL's Research & Development Camp this week: "As an experiment, try going an entire 60-minute game without calling the Vancouver Canucks for a single penalty, icing or offside, just to find out what they'll whine about afterwards instead." [DGB]
