• As far as sports tattoo stories go, this one's a doozy: 15-year-old Sarah Hrubo wants to take the Tyler Seguin autograph on her arm (from last week) and keep it there until she's old enough to get a tattoo. "When I take a shower I wrap it in plastic wrap, and when I go to bed I wrap it in an ace bandage so it doesn't rub off onto my sheets." That's dedication. And in a matter of months, a little gross. • USA Today broke the news of a Hail Mary attempt to save the Atlanta Thrashers as a "minority business" group made a $500 million bid to acquire the Thrash and the Hawks. • American Hockey League president and CEO David Andrews announced Friday that the league's Board of Governors has unanimously approved the relocation of the AHL franchise owned by True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. from Winnipeg to St. John's, N.L., to begin play there with the 2011-12 season. The St. John's club will be the top development affiliate of the National Hockey League's new Winnipeg entry, which has been purchased by True North pending NHL approval. [AHL]
